Located atop the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix, Different Pointe of View invites guests to embark on a culinary journey through exquisite Mediterranean fine dining, all while soaking in sweeping panoramic vistas of the city below. This restaurant gracefully combines elevated flavors with an equally elevated atmosphere, where every seat offers a spectacular visual experience—especially breathtaking at sunset.
The menu here is a carefully curated celebration of bold, sophisticated tastes and impeccable technique. From the first bite, the Filet Mignon with Lobster Butter delivers a luxurious marriage of tender, juicy prime beef and rich, decadent seafood essence. Guests rave over the Grilled Prime Filet Mignon, expertly paired with duck fat fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus that balance indulgence with fresh, earthy notes. For seafood lovers, dishes like the Pan Roasted Long Line Caught Chilean Sea Bass marry delicate, flaky textures with vibrant hints of caramelized fennel, orange, and pistachio—a dish that sings with every forkful.
Start your meal with artfully composed starters such as the Prime Beef Tenderloin Tartare, a silky and flavorful preparation accented by crispy capers and a tangy sauce gribiche that awakens your palate. The Pulpo Confit, featuring charred octopus with preserved lemon and celery, is a symphony of tender, smoky, and bright flavors. For a truly indulgent experience, the honey-seared Foie Gras with pineapple and saffron offers a decadence that melts beautifully alongside subtly sweet brioche pain perdu.
A well-rounded selection of salads and soups lighten the dining progression with elements like the Roasted Beet Salad—which combines crispy chèvre and spiced yogurt for an earthy, creamy contrast—and the robustly flavored Smoked Caesar featuring cured egg yolk and tempura white anchovies. For dessert, the Tahitian Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée casts a silky, fragrant finale, its caramelized sugar crust shattering with each spoonful to reveal rich, velvety custard.
Beyond the menu, Different Pointe of View shines in its ambiance and service. The spacious outdoor and indoor seating are thoughtfully designed to maximize those unforgettable sunset views that customers like Savannah describe as "breathtaking," perfect for savoring intimate dinners or special celebrations like the anniversary experience Alex Preston fondly recalls. The attentive and knowledgeable staff take care to complement your experience without intruding, thoughtfully enhancing the meal with impeccable timing and warm hospitality.
Whether you’re settling in with a handcrafted Old Fashioned or the mixologist’s signature cocktails, the drink selection here provides the perfect accompaniment to an evening that feels both refined and comfortably inviting. Guests recommend arriving just before dusk to watch the transition from golden daylight to sparkling city lights, as As81 notes, creating an atmosphere that transforms with the fading sun.
Different Pointe of View is more than a dinner destination—it is an experience that combines masterful Mediterranean flavors, stunning natural beauty, and exceptional service to craft memories that linger long after the last bite. For those willing to venture a little off the beaten path, this restaurant promises a sumptuous escape where culinary artistry meets awe-inspiring views.
Absolutely worth it to visit this restaurant. We enjoyed a beautiful view and amazing food. Everything from the appetizer to the dessert was top notch. Steak cooked perfectly with great flavor. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. This is one of our new favorite spots and we will never forget our dining experience here.
We've had experience at many 4,5 star restaurants and different states and countries and by far this was an absolute amazing experience. The service, and the food was amazing.. and the drinks were chefs kiss. One comment is about the parking it is a little bit of a walk unless you schedule for the golf cart to bring you to the front door. All in all had a great experience and will definitely be back the next time I'm in Phoenix.
The best view and dinner! It is a bit out of the way if you’re not staying close by but it’s worth the drive. The view is breathtaking and you can watch the sunset while you dine. The only critique I have is the service could have been more personable. Normally they will ask if you’re celebrating anything etc.the service was great other than that. The appetizers were large portions, I ordered two and I was full. The beef tartare was great! The star of the show was definitely the dessert! We got the pumpkin mousse. I would highly recommend going even just for a drink and appetizers in their terrace room!
We chose DPV for our anniversary celebration and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Watching the sunset from that height was absolutely stunning and made the evening feel very special. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. The ambiance added a perfect touch and made the whole experience even more memorable. Truly a great place for a special occasion.
Great drinks and some of the nicest views around. Arrive just before sunset to experience how the atmosphere changes as daylight fades. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and every spot offers a different perspective to enjoy. A perfect place to relax, sip, and take in the scenery.
What a fantastic experience! My partner and I came for a nice dinner and was blown away by the views. I will say upfront that I think this place is great for a few cocktail and an app to watch the sunset. I felt the service and ambiance inside where you eat dinner to be lacking. The food was great! The steak was huge and perfectly seasoned, the chicken was so juicy and the free bread was the cherry on-top. I’m sure we’ll be back!
